What was already going to be a good summer for the Canadiens’ Nicolas Deslauriers just got even better. On Thursday, Deslauriers announced on Twitter that his wife, Joanie, is pregnant with their third child to join 4-year-old daughter Madison Rose and son Jaxon, who will turn 2 this summer.Deslauriers scored 10 goals in 58 games with the Canadiens after scoring only 12 times in his previous 211 games in the NHL.The 6-foot-1, 215-pounder also led the Canadiens with 238 hits and was tied for seventh overall in the NHL.Based on this history and an uncanny musical chemistry, in 2013 they decided to focus all their energy and talents to develop their distinctive power trio.
Deslauriers started dating Joanie when he was playing junior for the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.
They got married when he was 21 and had their first child two years later.“It’s been pretty hard for us lately in suitcases and everything,” Deslauriers said after signing his new contract.
“It feels good to get a two-year contract and kind of set up for the next two years.
Held in Memphis Tennessee, they rose to the top to take the runner-up title in the Band category in a worldwide competition that saw 119 bands competing for a spot on the podium.
Their most recent release, the aptly titled Relentless (June 2016), is a genuine blues-rock escapade featuring 10 original new songs encompassing their most original and powerful work to date.
